199. a). How much are your videos and how do we go about ordering them? b). Do you have a list of responsibilities for the dual immersion coordinator?
a)
The "HOW-TO" Interactive Training Videos and the accompanying Training
Manuals (for duplication) entitled:
A. "50/50 Dual Language Programs: Design, Planning and Implementation"
B. "Effective Instruction for English Language Learners"
are $125.00 each PLUS $15.00 S & H, for a total each of $140.00. Buying 2 or more
Video+Manual together requires only
ONE S & H fee of $15.00.
The "scripts" recorded on the videos can be read in my Web Sites. And, to order,
just return my next e-message with
attached INVOICE filled out.
b)
I do not have a list , nor do I know of any list for such a position. However, I am
sure that the job description is very
similar to the list of responsibilities for any Instructional or Program Coordinator. In
the programs with which I have
been associated, the "coordinator" always taught in the dual language program.
In The Charlotte-Mecklenburg School
District, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the secondary "coordinator" (from the
Spanish immersion program) taught less
periods per day and, thus, shared the same classroom --at different periods-- with the
Japanese immersion program
teacher at West Mecklenburg High School where the four (French, German, Japanese, and
Spanish) Secondary
Immersion Programs were located. The middle school immersion programs were located at
another school --a middle
school-- and the "coordinator" was one of the French teachers. The elementary
immersion programs in French,
German, Japanese and Spanish were located at four different elementary schools and the
principal at each school was
responsible for each program. You may wish to contact any of the dual language programs
and inquire about the list
you are looking for.
